Lionel Messi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have been shortlisted by FIFA for the Puskas award for goal of the year 2019, out of 10 players.

They both joined three women and five men with a goal scored between July 16, 2018 and July 19, 2019.
Lionel Messi, who presently can’t seem to win the honor, earned the seventh assignment with a delicate chip for Barcelona against Betis in Seville. Ibrahimovic got with a balletic volley for LA Galaxy in Toronto in Major League Soccer.
The Puskas award was established in 2009. The award is named after legendary Hungarian, Spain and Real Madrid striker Ferenc Puskas.

The winner of Puskas award will be announced at the FIFA Football Awards in Milan on 23 September 2019.
